About the project
CzasNaTo shows children what they are doing now and how much time is left - without any need to read a clock.
Where this came from
For many children "five more minutes" is a hard idea to grasp. Time is abstract and its passing cannot be seen. The result is often resistance to finishing an activity, anxiety about change, and a conflict nobody wanted.
CzasNaTo turns time into something you can see: a row of dots that gradually light up or disappear - the adult chooses the direction, depending on what works better for each child. There is no need to understand hours; counting dots is enough.
The principles we work by
Activity data stays on the device
Activity names, photos and settings stay on the phone or tablet - we do not send them to CzasNaTo infrastructure. Our server has no table they could land in. This is not a setting you switch on; it is an architectural decision that no toggle can undo.
Legibility before decoration
The dots panel is always white with black dots, in dark mode too - that is the highest contrast available. The dots are children's main carrier of information, so they are not subject to colour changes.
Calm instead of stimulation
The dot in progress pulses slowly and softly. We deliberately avoid fast flashing and intense animation. Anyone with reduced motion enabled in their system gets an even calmer version, without losing any information about the current task.
It works without the internet
The timer and the activities work offline. A classroom with unreliable Wi-Fi is no reason for the tool to stop working in the middle of a lesson.
What CzasNaTo is not
CzasNaTo is a tool that supports education and the organisation of time. It is not a medical device and is not intended for diagnosis, therapy or treatment.
We do not ask for information about diagnoses, official assessments or health, and we provide no dedicated fields for collecting any. We do not replace the work of a teacher, therapist or carer - we are a tool in their hands.
Who runs the project
CzasNaTo is currently a pilot project run by Dawid Kharel as a private individual. Public sales have not started yet. Contact: [email protected].
Where we are
CzasNaTo is currently being developed as a pilot. Any adult can create an account free of charge. Extended pilot access for organisations is granted individually, after getting in touch. Public licence sales have not started yet.
